We are situated in BRANDEGLIO, a tiny Medieval hill-top village in the Val di Lima, in the famous Garfagnana region which nestles between the beaches and the skiing resorts. This less well known part of Tuscany displays more of the original Tuscan life from long before tourists invaded the central plains and beaches. The valleys are deep and dramatic, the hills are high with breathtaking views and the dense forests have deer, wild boar and porcupines.

Brandeglio is a typical pretty, little hilltop Tuscan village with spectacular views of the surrounding hills, villages and mountains, yet is only a 15 minute drive from the famous old spa town of Bagni di Lucca. The village dates back to Medieval times and has been awarded "Centro Storico" conservation area status, so no new building here!

From Brandeglio, it's a very easy 30 km drive to the famous Medieval walled city of Lucca and only 45 km up to the ever-popular skiing resort of Abetone.

Within an hour, you could be photographed holding up the leaning tower in Pisa, or sun-bathing on the wide golden sandy beaches at Viareggio. Drive an hour and a half and you are in beautiful Renaissance Florence, with its culture, architecture and, of course, world famous shopping!
